Design and Print: Fabulous
Rare Company won a competitive pitch to design and print People Express' publication celebrating the hidden lives of the women of South Derbyshire. Featuring in-house photography and image work alongside images and text provided by the client, we saturated the inner pages with vibrant colour to reflect the celebratory nature of the project. In contrast, the cover was delibrately designed to give no indication of the stories inside - apart from the one delicious taster in the title - FABULOUS. In this way, the publication paid homage to the fact that the women taking part in the project really are the unsung heriones of everyday in South Derbyshire - and you should never judge a book by its cover.
