Identity: Theatre Pedagogy
De Montfort University will play host to the International University Theatre Association 8th World Congress in June 2010. A five day conference with delegates attending from all over the globe, focusing on international University Theatre teaching and learning practice. Rare Company were approach to create an identity that defines the event as a creative inter disciplinary dialog, making the eighth year of the event. The lines are continuous, overlapping, integrated, and cross, to represent the teaching and learning practice the event presents. The use of colour and line is intended to be playful to create energy and excitement toward the congress.

Design and Print: Performance Leicester Brochure
A 12pp full colour A5 brochure designed to existing branding guidelines to welcome new arts students to the city and introduce them to the various performing arts organisations working in Leicester, using images and text supplied by each venue.

Branding: CORD
The Congress on Research in Dance is an international conference that will be hosted by Leicester's
De Montfort University in June 2009. Their chosen identity uses a bold colour pallette that gives the conference a professional outlook whilst communicating the flowing movement of dance and ideas that will be exchanged during the event.

Film: Performing Arts Centre of Excellence
To celebrate the launch of De Montfort University’s Performing Arts Centre of Excellence, Rare Company created a fourteen minute film bringing together the Centre’s three teaching strands - dance, drama and music technology. The result was a beautiful, almost dream-like, piece of film that seamlessly intertwined the three disciplines and reflected the interdisciplinary aspirations underpinning the Centre.
